For my equipment studio, we created bags through an architectural intersection using Tyvek. To start, we each selected a famous building. We then made 30 paper forms inspired by our chosen buildings. Our classmates then selected the best form. Each form was then given a chosen sport and purpose. My form was given running as the sport and hydration as the purpose. We each separately made several rounds of prototypes before being divided into teams and told to create a cohesive design direction. Together, my team altered our individual projects to make them into a cohesive collection. We made a brand and developed the design language, branding, and materials. We decided to melt sheets of Tyvek in a heat press to create our own material which was then incorporated into each design.
